Economic Development Community Dashboard
Squamish is on the cusp of monumental change and is well-positioned to share in British Columbia’s leading economic and job growth. While tourism and forestry have been cornerstones of the local economy, Squamish is leveraging its favourable geography, multitude of recreational assets and its quality of life amenities to grow new, emerging sectors, from clean technology and green building to performance apparel and sporting technology design.
To ensure that we are tracking progress, the District of Squamish, with partners the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Squamish, and funded by the Province of British Columbia, has developed a community dashboard which assesses economic health using 16 metrics across three pillars, People, Business and Place.
